Bruce Dorms Tlucka, Jr., age 49, who has multiple outstanding warrants out for his arrest, was arrested in Leonardtown after attempting to flee from Sheriff’s deputies conducting a welfare check.

Members of the St. Mary’s Sheriff’s Office responded to the 25300 block of Pt. Lookout Road in Leonardtown, and upon arrival, Tlucka, the subject of the welfare check, fled from deputies, officials said.

An investigation into Tlucka’s vehicle - which was stored at the residence and had tags that belonged to a different car - led to the seizure of multiple smoking devices, including one with suspected cocaine residue.

A canvas of the area led to the apprehension of Tlucka, who was taken into custody without further incident after attempting to provide deputies with a false name.

Tlucka - who investigators noted has no fixed address - was charged with:

  • Criminal possession of a dangerous substance - not marijuana;
  • Criminal possession of a dangerous substance - paraphernalia;
  • Fraud to avoid prosecution;
  • False statement to a peace officer.

No return court date has been announced.
